On Christmas Day, start the festivities with the Santa Parade down Royal Tiger, where you can dress up in your best holiday spirit outfits and ride the Sandy Chair with Santa. Don’t forget to snap a photo with him from 1-3 PM in the base lodge.

2. Downtown Fun on Pond Street: Glow ice skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, and more!

Experience the magic of Glow Ice Skating at Haley Pond on Friday, December 27th from 4:00-6:00 PM. Skate under the stars with festive music and a glow-in-the-dark atmosphere. The Rangeley Skating Club will provide free ice skates to borrow, so you don’t need to bring your own! There will also be face painting at Morton & Furbish, and a cozy firepit for roasting marshmallows. Warm up with free hot cocoa, and enjoy delicious treats provided by the Ladies Auxiliary, including crockpots and sweets.

In addition to the ice skating fun, enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides starting near Haley Pond. These rides will be available on both December 27th and 28th from 4:00-6:00 PM and are provided by Rangeley Adventure Co. 

For a cozy ride on New Year’s Eve, head to Furbish Brew House for more horse-drawn wagon rides on Tuesday, December 31st from 5:00-7:00 PM.

3. Oquossoc Village Holiday Evening

Head over to Oquossoc Village for a holiday evening filled with festive cheer! From 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, December 29th, enjoy free cookies and hot cocoa at Oquossoc Grocery. Get creative with snowman building (supplies provided), enjoy a winter-themed ice carving demo, and warm up by the firepit for a marshmallow roast. For a special treat, don’t miss the M&F Guest Pizza Party Special for our guests—two large one-topping pizzas and two bags of chips for just $35! This event is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon filled with holiday spirit. 

4. Robes on the Run at Saddleback to Support Breast Cancer Awareness 

Join in the fun and support a great cause at Robes on the Run at Saddleback Mountain on Saturday, December 28th at 1:00 PM. This event supports Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), so bring your robe (for both adults and kids) and take a run for a good cause! After the run, head to Saddleback Pub for some live music with TJ Swan from 3:00-6:00 PM.

In the evening, don’t miss the fireside ski & snowboard movie at Saddleback at 6:00 PM. The movie is part of the fundraising efforts to support B4BC, and it’s a great way to unwind after a fun-filled day. Enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with a raffle and free popcorn and pizza for the kids donated by Franklin Saving Bank.
